Physical Therapy Directory for Statistical Database (PT-DSD) website is a part of a physical therapy project with the aim of creating a big database of patients’ clinical data related to physical therapy and providing an online community for physical therapy students and therapists. The clinical data will be collected and provided currently by internship students and commissioning physical therapist in Egypt. The types of clinical data collected include the patient’s medical history, physical therapy evaluation and physical therapy treatment.

PT-DSD will serve as a source of verified raw data that will help academic researchers in physical therapy (PT). It will also help PT medicine companies and research centers to improve their work on physical therapy medicines, machines and tools. Additionally, it will be considered as a research reference for physical therapists. It’s expected that the collected data of PT-DSD will have more uses in the field of physical therapy.

PT-DSD is also meant to be an academic community for physical therapy students and therapists where they can connect and communicate for academic and professional purposes. Currently, PT-DSD members can network and message each other privately. It’s planned that PT-DSD will have more networking and communication features such as discussions forums and public and private groups.
